So what is the speed limit?

HAS anyone at the highways department noticed the road signs near the Rising Sun pub in Wistaston?
The new road speed sign says 30, and right below it on the road it says 40. So are we to interpret this and drive at 35 mph?
This is just another pain we motorists have to put up with, with all the huge pot holes and speed bumps that wreck our cars, the huge road tax, and unfair rip off petrol prices, it is just too much.
It is about time the motorists in this country started to fight back.
