Stop and think before blaming others for traffic jam.

I SMILED when I read your response GH, to the letter regarding a work journey. You are quite right actually that a lot of people will travel in their cars to work when they could walk just as quickly and save the planet at the same time! You stated that "you appreciate for many people alternative methods of transport may not be available, but in this case it is", how do you know that? Is it not a little presumptuous to assume this person is not one of those? I only work a short distance away from home but I don't have an option of walking to work. I would love to be able to walk, to take in the fresh air and be relaxed when I arrived at work but quite simply, I can't. My job involves repair, and quite often I take my work home, which is heavy and large, so it would be impossible to carry home or even to balance it on a bike! And the congestion at the railway station roundabout could be caused by people travelling out of Crewe to work as they can't find a suitable job in Crewe within walking/biking distance, so there again it is presumptuous of you to assume that they could all walk/bike to work. Before you get your soapbox out, Mr/Mrs/Miss GH, I suggest you stop and think, there may be some background you are unaware of, the writer may be disabled and that is why they travelled a short distance to work in their car. Here's MY assumption GH, that YOU are the one "who always blames somebody else in the world" for everything, without knowing the facts.
