AN Edinburgh Fringe sell-out writer and performer is bringing her latest show to the Artrix in Bromsgrove.
Birmingham born Ginny Davis is well-known for her sharp observations of family life which she brings to the fore in Home Truths - a comedic double bill of one-woman satirical plays about modern family life with teenagers.
In part one, Double Booked, a modern mum, Ruth Rich, finds herself in trouble when at the start of the recession, she economises on the truth in order to save face and please everyone.
Ruth ties her schedule up in knots and worries about her 17-year-old daughter's driving and drinking, her 16-year-old son's behaviour at school and her elderly mother's loneliness.
In part two, Something Fishy, events have moved on almost another year.
Ruth leaves her 17-year-old daughter at home alone in order to chaperone her wayward son on a school trip to Marrakech from which he would otherwise have been barred.
Once over there the daughter can't cope with the home (and the goldfish) so has got Simon to sleepover and help - who is Simon though?
Home Truths is at the Artrix on May 25 starting at 8pm.
Tickets cost £12 (£10 concessions) and are available from the box office on 01527 577330 or artrix.co.uk.
