SOUTH Cheshire firefighters tackled a blaze on a canal boat at Hassall Green in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Some five fire engines, a safety boat and aerial appliance attended the fire on the boat outside the Lock 57 restaurant at around 2.30am.
Fire crews used two main jets and breathing apparatus to bring the blaze under control.
