NANTWICH Town host second-from bottom Stocksbridge Park Steels on Saturday hoping to end a run of seven games without a win.
They perhaps deserved better than a third successive draw at Blyth Spartans at the weekend.
Eighth place Dabbers, without a victory to shout about in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division since the 5-1 success at Eastwood Town on October 20, came from behind to earn a point at Blyth.
Sean Cooke came to the rescue when he smashed home a 75th minute strike.
Jimmy Quinn’s side started brightly despite going into the game without the injured McDonald and Mat Bailey as well as the unavailable Chris Flynn.
Christian Smith, Lewis Short and Caspar Hughes stepped in and the visitors appeared to be on top for periods but a lack of clinical edge cost them more goals.
Cooke came close in the second minute but a chipped effort went over the bar.
Blyth went ahead against the run of play when Wayne Buchanan nudged home a free kick.
A Cooke response went narrowly wide and he had a 25-yard free kick well stopped in the second half before finally netting.
Nantwich: Brain, Carden, Short, Maguire (Campbell, 86), Moss ©, Smith, Cooke, McLachlan, Lane, Everall, Hughes (Wilson, 61). Subs: Anbridge, Gould.
