Coach happy with first league meet since promotion

CREWE Flyers competed in the first round of Crusader League Divison Two with high confidence after winning promotion last year.
A total of 37 swimmers competed for the club against Dane Valley, Hazel Grove and Whitchurch at Congleton Leisure Centre.
It turned out to be a close contest between Dane Valley, Crewe and Hazel Grove, with the final result going down to the last race.
Crewe and Hazel Grove were tied on level points, but the Stockport side edged it at the death.
Coach Andy Coutts was happy with the performance of his swimmers.
He said: “Big thanks to all the swimmers and the support of parents and poolside staff for a great performance.
“An exciting atmosphere and some great swimming made it an exciting night.”
Final scores: Hazel Grove 238, Crewe Flyers 236, Dane Valley 234, Whitchurch 210.
