CREWE Alexandra Ladies under 18s took on Chester side AFC Waverton on Sunday and showed their determination from the off, with Aimee Scragg opening the scoring within 60 seconds.

Scragg added two more to complete her hat trick on six minutes.

Two from Sharla Maddocks, with one from Mary Turley in between, made it 6-0.

The Alex girls attacked at will with strong front running with some fine distribution from Vicky Tams in the Crewe goal, linking well with the wing backs and midfield. Robyn James was rewarded for a great first half performance when she completed the first half scoring with a seventh on 35 minutes.

The second half started in an identical pattern with further goals from Scragg and James before Sophie Brooks placed a free-kick superbly up and over the Waverton wall and past the keeper to make it double figures.

Further goals came from Brooks with Sharla Maddocks and Robyn James both completing their hat tricks to round off the 13-0 score line.

The fine performance was overshadowed by the sad sight of the Waverton centre forward being taken away by ambulance with dislocated knee suffered with 30 seconds of the game remaining.
