PREMIER Division Darts top two Pioneers Club A and West End LMR B remain separated by a single point after enhancing their placings with thumping 7-1 victories at Vine A and third-placed Cosey Club respectively, the latter now 14 points off the pace.

Top arrows came from Pioneers skipper Pete Boughey with a superb 12-dart leg.

Excellent back-up came from Fred Smith with 14 and 17 darters, Steve Wilson with a 17 dart leg and a 180, Tony Richardson with a brace of 20 darters and John Cooper with a 180.

LMR B hotshots were Chris Gibson who bombed 13 and 19 darters and also hit a 180, Shaun Wilkinson with a 116 checkout to his 18 dart leg, Patrick Lynskey and Dave Bickerton with 19 dart legs.

Mark Tirrell (Band C) won with 15 and 16 darters and also hit a 180 and team mates Lyndon Cartwright and Robbie Arrowsmith hit respective 110 and 120 checkouts, Robbie’s as part of a 15 dart leg. Bobby Baynham (Cosey) hit a 16 darter and 17 dart legs came from Aaron Ayres (White Lion B), Shaun Garrett (Nantwich Road A) and Barry Cooper (Commercial).

Division 1 Darts toppers Prince of Wales C beat Hop Pole A 5-3 and head new challengers Earl of Chester, 7-1 winners at Lady A, by three points with Nantwich Road ASLEF demoted to third on matches won after drawing at White Lion A.

Division 2 Darts pacemakers Sydney Arms lost 5-3 at Bridge A and now have a revitalised Cheshire Cheese chasing them down after their 6-2 victory over Woodside.

Steve O’Neill (Bridge C) concluded a 15 darter with a 116 finish and Daz Downey (Pioneers B), Rob Paine Sydney Arms) and Craig Smith (Cheese) hit respective 16, 18 and 19 dart legs.

Division 3 Darts had four drawn matches so very little change.

The only team to win were second placed Brunel A, who beat bottom placed Vine C 5-3. Rob Caine (Brunel C) hit a 126 finish to an 18 dart leg.

Andy Jump (Oddies) included a 180 in a 15 dart leg in his 2-1 defeat of Gareth Wood (Kings B), who hit a 116 checkout to an 18 darter.

Division 4 Darts leaders Swan & Chequers went down 5-3 to lowly Waldron, and now face a stern challenge from Raven.

Division 5 Darts runaway leaders Willaston Club to no signs of easing up, their whitewash of bottom team Hop Pole B putting them 26 points clear of Duke of Bridgewater B.
