Top two continue to set pace in Crewe Open League Dominoes

THE top two in the Crewe Open League’s Premier Dominoes Division, Kings Arms A and Nantwich Road A, enjoyed 5-3 victories at Pioneers Club A and Commercial to leave an unchanged position at the top.
Vine A recaptured third spot after a 5-3 win at West End LMR B, but they remain five points off the pace.
Division One’s teams took 3, 4 or 5 points in close matches.
Leaders Express doubled their points lead to two by beating Flying Lady A 5-3, while main challengers White Lion A let slip a 3-1 lead in their draw at Amalgamated A.
Hop Pole’s 5-3 defeat of Broughton Arms lifted them three places to third, with three teams separated on matches won two points behind them.
Division two toppers Pioneers Club B overturned a 3-0 deficit to win 5-3 at Sydney Arms and give them a four points lead over Woodside, who were beaten 6-2 by Bridge A.
