Pioneers and West End power ahead at the top of Crewe Open League's Darts Divisions

TEAMS in the Crewe Open League have four matches left to make or break their season.
Premier Division Darts’ top two Pioneers Club A and West End LMR B hit seven against respective hosts Imperial and White Lion B to remain separated by four points, with every prospect of the title being decided in their final-week crunch match.
Cosey Club and West End Band Club C beat Commercial and Vine A but are well off the pace.

Pete Boughey (Pioneers A) won in 18 and 19 darts and also hit a 110 checkout, while Shaun Wilkinson (LMR B) hit an 18 darter.
Division One toppers Prince of Wales C overturned a 2-0 deficit to win 6-2 at Broughton Arms, which gives them sole charge of the lead as main rivals Nantwich Road ASLEF were held to a draw at the Express.
Duke of Bridgewater A and Earl of Chester beat Hop Pole A and Amalgamated A and are locked in third place with identical records, with Duke A top on the third parameter of results between the pair.
Clive Lucking (Earl) and Cliff Davison (ASLEF) fired 14-dart legs, Kevin Penny (Duke A) added a 17 darter and Neil Tudor (Hop Pole A) an 18 darter that included a 180 and was ended with a 142 kill.
Division Two’s top pair Cheshire Cheese and Sydney Arms both gained 5-3 wins over Rising Sun A and Amalgamated B to remain joint top with identical records.
Pioneers Club B’s 6-2 defeat of Bridge A lifted them two places to third, but they remain way off the pace.
Steve Hughes (Woodside) ended his 18-dart leg with a 113 checkout, while 19 darters were hit by Rob Paine (Sydney), Dan Downey (Pioneers B), Craig Smith (Cheese) and Steve Blount (Bridge C).
