ODDFELLOWS Club stormed to a six-point lead in Crewe Open League’s Division Three Darts after hammering Coppenhall Leighton 7-1.

Main challengers Rileys Club A recovered from 5-0 down to win the final three games against closest rivals Brunel Arms A, who may yet regret taking their foot off the pedal.

Rileys A pair Paul Byrne and Ben Snape hit respective 17 and 19-dart legs and Dave Arrowsmith (Hawk) completed an 18-dart leg with a ton checkout.

Captain Webb trio Jamie Ball, Mikey Taylor and Danny Welch and Reg Corbett (Oddfellows) all hit 180’s, Reg also on the mark with a 108 checkout.

Division Four’s leaders Swan and Chequers had a bye week, but main rivals Raven failed to take full advantage by letting slip a 3-1 lead in their draw with Waldron.

Third-placed Cumberland C stay five points off the pace after drawing at Nantwich Road B.

Division Five’s unbeaten leaders Willaston Club beat Prince of Wales A 5-3 -which would be deemed a success by some of the leaders victims- and need three points from their last four matches to claim the title.

Nags Head regained second place on matches won after a 6-2 defeat of Last Orders Inn, with Duke of Bridgewater B demoted to third after allowing lowly Brunel Arms B to take a 4-0 lead in an eventual 5-3 win.

The other team in the quest to be runners-up are Rileys Club B, who beat Foresters Arms B 5-3.

Jamie Clorley (Willaston) won in 19 darts, teammate and brother Ricky and Matthew Wadkins (Duke B) hit 180’s and Paul Blythe (Willaston) a high score of 171.
