NANTWICH’S Malbank School is to host an FA Tesco Skills football programme for boys and girls aged between five and 11.
Laura Woodcock, FA Skills coach for the Nantwich area, is now running mixed and girls only sessions.
The after-school sessions take place on Wednesdays, provided free by the FA, though there is a small charge of £10 for the term to cover the cost of the venue.
“It is a unique national coaching programme that gives children of all abilities the opportunity to get active, learn new football skills and enjoy the game,” said Woodcock.
“It is funded so all our coaching is free, we provide after school coaching, holiday football coaching and also work within primary schools providing specialist coaching at no cost to the school.”
Sessions for ages five to eight run from 3.35pm-4.45pm, for ages nine to 11 from 4.45pm to 5.45pm and the girls only sessions for those aged seven to 11 run from 4.45pm to 5.45pm.
Places are limited, so booking a place early is recommended.
