Deposed leaders Brunel Arms A were on the receiving end of a devastating return to form by Coppenhall Leighton, who are just one point back in third after their crushing 7-1 victory.
Division Four leaders Coach and Horses top-scored with a 6-2 win at Nantwich Road B to move three points clear of Waldron, who drew with closest challengers White Lion.
Division Five toppers Brunel Arms B kept up the pressure with a 7-1 hammering of hosts Last Orders and are eight points clear of their C team, who beat fourth placed Rileys Club B 5-3.
Third-placed Duke of Bridgewater B remain in contention after beating Nags Head 6-2.
Generosity displayed by Prince A, who let slip a 3-0 lead to lose 5-3 and Willaston Club, who forfeited a 3-0 lead to draw, was much appreciated by respective recipients Hop Pole B and Prince D.
