CREWE Alexandra twice gave up the lead as they were held to a point in a six-goal thriller at Bradford City.

The Railwaymen broke the deadlock after 11 minutes as former Chelsea midfielder Anthony Grant fed Uche Ikpeazu and the youngster finished with an impressive lobbed effort.

Nine minutes after the break Chuks Aneke stung the palms of Bantams stopper Jon McLaughlin, who could only parry into the path of Ikpeazu for his second.

However, within five minutes the hosts had the Valley Parade crowd bouncing as first James Hanson reduced the deficit with a left-footed strike on 58 minutes and then Gary Jones levelled in the 59th minute, firing past Alex stopper Ben Garratt.

Hanson could have put the Bantams in front moments later but failed to convert a seemingly open goal, meaning it was the visitors who took the lead when Mathias Pogba slammed home with 12 minutes remaining.

But Crewe failed to hold onto their lead when Jones bagged a late leveller.
