Nantwich Road A, self-handicapped all season by their draw record, slammed hosts Vine A 7-1 to be crowned as runners-up, which was helped by the clash of main challengers West End Band Club C and Cosey Club ending 5-3 to Cosey.

Division One pacemakers White Lion A hit Broughton Arms for seven to become champions by three points from Hop Pole A, who were 5-3 victors over Express.

Again, the clash of third and fourth-placed rivals was critical, with Amalgamated A overtaking Nantwich Road ASLEF.

Division Two leaders Pioneers Club B are champions thanks to a spirited 6-2 win at fourth-placed Cheshire Cheese.

Division Three was all change for the top trio, with Brunel Arms A finishing as champions when beating Captain Webb 6-2.

Liberal Club also hit six against bottom-placed Kings Arms B to finish as runners-up.

Division Four leaders Coach and Horses drew at Swan and Chequers, but are still champions on matches won after finishing level points with White Lion A.

Lion moved up from fourth to be runners-up after demoralising and destroying a dejected Raven, who dropped from second to fifth.

Division Five ended with a Brunel Arms triumph, with the B team crowned champions after their draw with Hop Pole B kept them well clear of their C team, who are runners-up despite a 6-2 mauling at Willaston Club.

Duke of Bridgewater B lost 6-2 to Prince of Wales D.

They completed a first double win, and were overtaken by Nags Head, up from fifth after walloping Rileys Club B 7-1.
