NANTWICH Town were well beaten by Evo Stik Northern Premier League top flight frontrunners Chorley at Victory Park on Saturday.
Earl Davis had leveled after Max Cartwright’s opener, but James Dean’s double, a Davis own goal and Josh Hine’s late effort completed the rout.
Dabbers’ Steve Foster scuffed an effort wide on 19 minutes and four minutes later Cartwright opened the scoring after Andy Teague’s shot was blocked.
Dabbers were level on 31 minutes when Davis met Max Harrop’s corner and nearly took the lead when Oliver Devenney’s header from a Harry Clayton delivery was saved.
Promotion hopefuls Chorley entered the break in the lead when Dean converted from the spot and increased their lead 10 minutes after the interval when he added his second.
Two minutes later Davis glanced a free kick into his own net and, after Nantwich substitute Ben Deegan had two efforts saved, Hine slotted Chorley’s fifth on 90 minutes.
