BRADDEN Inman’s late winner at Crawley Town handed Crewe Alexandra a huge boost in their bid for League One survival.

Uche Ikpeazu opened the scoring for the visitors and Inman bagged the winner 10 minutes from time after Jamie Proctor had levelled for John Gregory’s side.

The win lifts the Alex level with on points with three teams outside of the relegation zone above them.

The opener came after 18 minutes when Mathias Pogba’s effort was parried by Paul Jones into the path of Ikpeazu and the Watford loanee finished from close range.

Ben Garratt saved from Crawley’s Billy Clarke and after the interval top scorer Chuks Aneke was denied by Jones.

But the hosts found a leveller with little over 20 minutes to play when Proctor’s effort beat Garratt on its way into the top corner.

Inman was on hand to wrap up a vital win for Steve Davis’ side, however, converting from Byron Moore’s ball.
