Representative win for Wistaston Village pair
BOWLERS Alison Smith and Hannah Thornhill flew the flag for Wistaston Village in a Cheshire Women’s Cricket League representative team.
Smith, 2 for 17 in seven overs, and Hannah Thornhill, 2 for 27 in seven, helped the side defeat league champions Chester Boughton Hall by 80 runs in the season curtain-raiser.
The league team posted 212 for 3, with Chester managing 132 for 8 in reply.
