PREMIER Division frontrunners West End LMR B, Pioneers Club A and Cosey Club opened a substantial gap at the summit this week.

Leaders LMR B hit seven at Imperial, for whom Adele Probin staved off a whitewash. LMR hotshot Patrick Lynskey scooped a brace of 18 darters and a 180.

Pioneers A whitewashed Hop Pole A with a 15 darter from Fred Smith.

Cosey hit Nantwich Road ASLEF for six after their opener Craig Simpson lost on legs despite hitting an 18 darter and a 180, Rich Davenport levelling the scores following a maximum 180 hit.

Vine A blanked strugglers Kings Arms A, Paul Taylor hitting a 114 checkout and Vine’s Mick Hassall bombing an 18 darter.

Division One leaders Delamere Arms moved three points clear of White Lion B after their 5-3 win at Amalgamated A and Lion’s loss at Cheshire Cheese.

Ben Barnes fired 19 dart legs, with Delamere teammates Justin Vickers and Aaron Russell hitting 20 and 21 darters, Vickers ending his with a 104 finish and Russell including a 180.

Ryan Proctor replied with an 18 dart leg and a 120 checkout. Shaun Boffey fired a 19 dart leg for Cheese.

Third-placed Broughton Arms scrambled a draw with Nantwich Road A, while Pioneers Club B lost an early lead in their 5-3 defeat to Flying Lady A – Phil Shaw and Gary Payne hitting 180s.

Division Two table toppers Brunel Arms A won 5-3 at Express, but had their lead cut to three points as main challengers Oddfellows Club beat bottom-placed Rising Sun A 6-2.

Oddies duo Dave Coyne and Chris Owens made 17 darters, Owens including a 180, as did Reg Corbett and Express’ Tom Knibbs.

Third-placed Sydney Arms fell seven points off the pace after drawing with Bridge A, despite Rob Paine hitting a 14 dart leg and Steve Ross a 20 darter.

Rileys Club A and Hawk retaining the top places in Division Three after 6-2 victories at Coppenhall Club and Swan and Chequers. Raven’s six-hit at Flying Lady B lifted them to joint second.

Willaston Club’s 25-match winning spree was ended in Division Four when White Lion Coppenhall overcame a 4-1 deficit to force a draw. Paul Blythe doing some damage in 19 darts.

Rivals Nantwich Road B, for whom Kev Felton made a 100 checkout, and Duke of Bridgewater B gained 5-3 wins over Rising Sun B and Coach and Horses.

Nags Head slipped to fourth after a 6-2 loss to Dishers Club A.

Division Five leaders Prince of Wales A beat challengers Brunel Arms C 6-2 to move 12 points clear.
