Youngsters fall to veteran dominoes pair

YOUNGSTERS Scott Finnan and TJ Mellor were unable to overcome veteran Liberal pair Bill Brereton and Bill Armstrong in the Crewe Liberal Club Open League Dominoes Pairs Knockout final.
The Duke of Bridgewater C duo saw of Ron Beech and Dave Mulliner, but fell 2-0 to the Bills, who claimed the £40 top prize.
The Darts Singles Knockouts for Division Three to Five players was won by Ben Davies of Prince of Wales A, he hit a 180 in a 2-0 victory over Shaun Young of Liberal.
Davies saw off Willaston Club’s Joey Reade in the final four, while Young overcame Reade’s clubmate Ricky Clorley.
The Crewe Liberal Club Open League Summer Team Knockout third round saw three Premier, four Division One and one Division Two teams make the quarter-finals.
In an all-premiership clash holders Westend Lmr B disposed of Nantwich Road Aslef after Dave Bickerton included a 180 in his 17 dart victory and won four of six dominoes games.

Flying Lady A, Broughton and Nantwich Road also went through against White Lion F/Lane A, Hawk and Rileys A.
