A CREWE Flyers swimmer bagged a gold medal on her debut gala in Biddulph.
The Flyers team made the trip over the Staffordshire border for the annual Biddulph Open, with debutant Grace Wilne among those to bring home the medals.
The club scooped 66 medals in total between 20 swimmers, with Emma Duff proving the top performer by collecting an impressive 13.
Scott Coutts was the top boy with 10 silver medals, while teammate Jake Brassington took three gold medals and four bronze.
Beth Moore collected four golds, while Katie Holding came home with a total of five medals.
Jack Wilne, Stuart Eastwood, Aaron Glover, Ben Woolley and Scott Coutts completed a successful day for the boys’ team by all taking at least one medal.
Katie Holding, one of Flyers’ youngest swimmers, enjoyed an impressive weekend with four golds, complemented by further medals for Finn Hall, Rachel Bradshaw, Georgia Prestwich and Freya Ramsey.
There were also strong performances from Olivia Ross, Nadia Barr, Rebecca Stacchini and Frankie Timmis.
