Division One pacemakers Pioneers Club B were held to a draw by bottom team Earl of Chester, although rivals Broughton Arms 5-3 defeat of Delamere Arms saw the pair swap places but only dent the Pi’s lead. Broughton head five teams covered by three points.

Division Two toppers Oddfellows Club crashed 6-2 to visitors Amalgamated B, so second placed Rising Sun A’s 5-3 win at bottom placed Sydney Arms reduces their points deficit to just two. Third placed Horse Shoe won 5-3 at Bridge C, but remain four points off the pace.

Division Three leaders Liberal Club faced their principal rivals for the second week running, This week it was the Hawk, who they beat 6-2 to increase their lead to eight points over Kings B, whose 6-2 win at Vine B saw them demote the Hawk to third.
