DOUGLAS Crosbie from Nantwich was in action in the Formula Ford 1600 Northern Championship at Oulton Park’s Race Day this weekend, racing his 1600cc Van Dieman RF00.
In the first race, starting from sixth on the grid, he got a good start and managed to gain a place on the first lap, he then lost that place but regained it six laps later to finish fifth overall and third in his class to make the Class Podium.
For the second race, starting from sixth on the grid, he was up to fifth place by the end of the first lap but then disaster struck on lap two when he locked wheels with another car while both were braking for a corner and both spun off the track and out of the race.
