PREMIER Division darts pacemakers Pioneers A lost their 100 per cent winning tag trying to contain Delamere Arms from across the road.

After Tony Richardson had hit an 18 darter and a 180 in a first game win for the Pi’s, they were always playing catch up.

Skipper Pete Boughey and Andy Poynton had to win the last pairs game for the draw, which they did.

Delamere hotshots were Clive Lucking and Shaun Done with 16 dart legs, John Cooper and Lee Moffat responding for the home team with 18 and 19 darters.

Fellow protagonists West End LMR B are now joint top after whitewashing winless bottom team hosts Commercial, who are having a tough season.

LMR powered to victory with 17 and 19 darters from Danny Ayres and Chris Gibson, the latter also bagging a brace of 180s.

Superb back up came from Chris Townsend and Patrick Lynskey with 17 and 19 dart legs.

Commercial's response was an 18 darter from Jamie Yarwood. Third placed Cosey were also in devastating form, their 7-1 win leaving them one point behind the top two, who have a match in hand, albeit their monumental clash next week.

Horse Shoe did not play so drop back to fifth, but have matches in hand on all above them.

Tommy Clarke (Bridge C) won to stave off the whitewash. Joe Woodward (Sydney) hit an 18 darter, Steve Hughes (Express) a 167 finish and 180s came from Amalgamated B pair Rich Sharp and Rob Williams.

Division Three leaders Willaston Club whitewashed hosts Cheshire Cheese to move nine clear of Swan & Chequers, whose 5-3 defeat of improved Vine B was gained by winning both pairs games.

Third placed Nantwich Road B may regret easing off at 4-1 in their 5-3 win at Coppenhall Club. They have a match in hand but are still seven points off second place and have been joined on points by Captain Webb, who recorded this section’s second whitewash, bottom placed Flying Lady B the victims.

Colin Spencer (Webb) and Joey Reade (Willaston) hit 17 dart legs.

Division Four toppers Prince of Wales A joined the whitewash brigade at bottom-placed Duke of Bridgewater B to go eight points clear of Duke of Bridgewater C, 7-1 winners at White Lion, who they replace in second place.

Neil Ridgeway’s win prevented White Lion being whitewashed. Lyndon Cartwright (Prince A) won with a 108 checkout and team mate John Speed hit a 180.

Division Five's top two Hop Pole B and Prince of Wales D remain in situ despite losing 5-3 at Dishers A and to visitors Coach & Horses respectively, with Pole B forfeiting a 3-1 lead.

Premier Division dominoes toppers Cosey Club lost 5-3 to Kings Arms A and with their bye week imminent have only a one-point lead over Delamere, 5-3 winners at Pioneers A and Kings A.

Pi’s A move up to fourth ahead of Nantwich Road ASLEF who had a bye, but are six points off the pace.

Division One's top two White Lion A and Pioneers B met, the resultant draw leaving a status quo.

The section's only winners Oddfellows Club won the last three games for a 5-3 victory at Nantwich Road A, but remain bottom.

Division Four pacemakers Bridge C were one of only three domino teams to win 6-2, their defeat of Nags Head doubling their points lead to six.

White Lion, champions for the past two seasons, displayed nothing like that form, but still move up to second despite letting slip a 4-0 lead in their draw with Duke of Bridgewater C.

Dishers B drop a place to third after losing 6-2 at Rising Sun B, with five points now covering the six teams vying for second spot.

Division Six now has joint leaders in Hop Pole B and Prince of Wales D, despite the Pole B losing 5-3 at Dishers A and the Prince D only drawing with Coach and Horses.
