THE Crewe Liberal Club Open League Premier Division darts top two, West End LMR B and Pioneers Club A, hit six apiece against visitors Vine A and Kings Arms A.

They remain separated by two points, but the LMR have a match in hand.

Third and fourth placed Delamere Arms and Cosey Club met, the Delamere forfeiting a 3-1 lead as Cosey piled on the pressure to win the last four games and the match 5-3, which leaves the losers way off the pace.

Leaders LMR B again provided most of the top performances with Carl Dennel top of the pile with a 14 darter.

Good backup came from Danny Ayres (17 darts and a brace of 180s), Dave Bickerton (18) and Chris Townsend (19), with Mick Hassall responding for the Vine with an 18 dart leg.

Back to form Pioneers A had skipper Pete Boughey hitting a 15 darter, Tony Richardson winning in 16 and 19 and John Cooper firing an 18 dart leg.

Shaun Done (Delamere) won in 16 and 21 darts and hit a 180, Paul Ralphs (Nantwich Road ASLEF) hit a 19 dart leg and other maximum men were Mark Jodrill (Cosey) and Kings A duo Daryll Taylor and Andy Pitt.

Division One leaders Oddfellows Club recovered from a poor start to beat visitors Amalgamated A 5-3, Brunel Arms A only slightly encroaching on their points lead with a 6-2 defeat of White Lion A.

Third placed Broughton Arms won 5-3 at Nantwich Road A but are 14 points off the pace.

Steve Austin (Brunel A) and Ron Threadgold (Amalgamated A) hit respective 18 and 19 dart legs, Andy Gilbert bombed a 111 checkout and Mark Clowes (Lion A) and Daz Downey (Pioneers B) hit 180s.

Division Two's leading trio Sydney Arms, The Imp and Bridge A gained 5-3 wins over Horse Shoe, Hawk and Woodside, the Shoe demoted to fourth, and like Bridge A well off the pace.

Ryan Proctor (Imp) hit a 17 darter and team mate Ken Greenall a 124 finish to an 18 dart leg.

Rich Sharp (Amals B) and Cliff Williams (Shoe) hit 19 dart legs and Moe Sinclair (Express) a 113 finish.

Rob Mason (Amals B) and Neil Robbins (Sun A) hit 180s and Tommy Clarke (Bridge C) a 171 high score.

Division Three's potential Champions Willaston Club were again in devastating form with Jamie Clorley and Joey Reade hitting respective 14 and 18 dart legs in a 7-1 thumping of lowly Liberal Club, who have Bill Armstrong to thank for staving off a whitewash.

Second placed Swan & Chequers beat Captain Webb 5-3 helped by a 128 checkout from Patrick Brennan, while third placed Nantwich Road B fall nine points behind after drawing at Cheshire Cheese.

Tony Taylor (Kings Arms B) included a 180 in a 21 dart leg and Alex Smith (Lady B) was another maximum man.

Division Four's runaway leaders Prince of Wales A now have a 22-point lead after walloping bottom team Duke of Bridgewater B 7-1, John Ratcliffe staving off the whitewash.

Second placed Duke of Bridgewater C lost 5-3 to visitors White Lion but are still 10 points ahead of Rising Sun B, who beat Brunel Arms C 5-3. Lyndon Cartwright (Prince A) won in 17 darts.

Division Five toppers Hop Pole B were beaten 5-3 by third placed visitors Coach & Horses, with Dishers Club A moving up to second on the strength of a 6-2 win at bottom placed Foresters Arms B.
