PREMIER Division Crewe Liberal Club darts champions for the third season in a row are West End LMR B, clinched with a whitewash of Commercial.

Second placed Cosey walloped Kings Arms A 7-1 to complete their fixtures and are odds on to be runners-up after third placed Pioneers Club A could only draw across the road at the Delamere, so require an unlikely whitewash of the champions to overtake Cosey.

Top arrows came from Craig Simpson (Cosey) with a 14 darter and a 180 and Chris Gibson (LMR B) who bombed a 16 darter in a 2-1 legs victory over Barry Cooper (Commercial), who himself fired an 18 dart leg.

Division One's top two places remain undecided after leaders Oddfellows Club let slip a 3-1 advantage in their draw with visitors Nantwich Road A and sole challengers Brunel Arms A struggled to beat Hop Pole A, who also let slip a 3-1 lead.

To be champions the Oddies must gain at least a draw in a difficult final encounter at third placed Broughton Arms, who cannot better their third place despite a 6-2 win at Amalgamated A.

Reg Corbett (Oddies) hit a 19 dart leg and maximum 180’s were hit by Rob Challinor (Nantwich Road A) and Sean Morrey (Hop Pole A.

Division Two champions are The Imp, clinched with a 6-2 defeat of third placed Horse Shoe, with Sydney Arms confirmed as runners-up after a 7-1 triumph at the Hawk.

In a section where every match produced a top performance Paul Forster (Sun A) came out on top with a 14 dart leg and Tom Knibbs (Express) hit a 16 darter, both blasting 180s.

Paul Jones (Amals B) and Anthony Critchley (Bridge C) fired 16 darters, but Paul won their clash 2-1 on legs. Rob Paine (Sydney) won with 17 and 20 darters, Steve Mellor (Amals B) hit an 18 darter and 19 darters were hit by Imp pair Ryan Proctor and Stuart Wilson and Jamie Hawkins (Bridge A), who included a 180 in his.

Ken Greenall (Imp) hit a 20 darter and Jay Paine (Sydney) a 110 checkout.

Division Three champions Willaston Club eased to a 6-2 win over Cheshire Cheese, but Runners-up berth remains wide open after hopefuls Swan & Chequers won 6-2 at Vine B, Nantwich Road B lost 5-3 to visitors Coppenhall Club and outsiders Captain Webb won 6-2 at bottom placed Flying Lady B.

The Swan are four points clear and need a 5-3 win to ensure Runners-up berth, but they host the Champions, while Nantwich Road visit lowly Liberal Club.

Roy Clews (Coppenhall) and Willaston duo Jamie Clorley and Joey Reade hit 19 darters, Reade including a 180 in his.

Division Four Prince of Wales A beat bottom placed Duke B 6-2, while location colleagues Duke C clinched a runners-up berth by beating closest rivals White Lion 5-3.

John Speed (Prince A) won in 16 darts and team mate Lyndon Cartwright and Steve Gillighan (Duke C) in 19.

Division Five has Dishers A in top place for the first time after a 7-1 win at Hop Pole B, who have Sam Hughes to thank for preventing a whitewash and drop to third after completing their fixtures.

Coach & Horses beat Prince of Wales D 6-2 to climb to second, three points behind the leaders with a match in hand, and the top two meet next match.
