NANTWICH Town boss Phil Parkinson hopes a midweek draw with Blyth Spartans can help keep his side’s momentum going.

Dabbers shared the points in a 1-1 draw after Matthew Kosylo’s opener was cancelled out by Daniel Maguire at the Weaver Stadium.

However Parkinson says these midweek encounters are a test of his squad’s strength-in-depth.

Tuesday’s draw came after Kosylo scored the only goal in a 1-0 win at Frickley on Saturday.

“The positive of it is that the games were so close together with the momentum,” he said.

“The down side is the injuries we have got. We haven’t got a big squad. Cliff Moyo still wasn’t available for Saturday’s game, he has been a big player for us.”

On Saturday’s win, Parkinson said: “There were huge spaces and again it takes bravery not to stand by your man and to bomb forward, Andy White and Shaun [Dowling] were superb and we were getting it wide early and not doing the wrong thing.

“It’s fantastic if they do that and listen to us, doing what I ask then we will win more games then we will lose.

“Shaun has come in and played his socks off and is putting a bit of pressure on Cliff now.

“For how well Cliff has done, Shaun has done as well.

“I thought my full backs in particular we so brave because that was the way we were going to get out.”
