THE Crewe Oddies Club Open Darts and Dominoes League presentation night provided a surprise for one of the most promising young dart players.
Cheshire East CVS Crewe wanted some options to consider regarding who should receive an award they would make.
Trustee Ray Palin, the League Vice-Chairman, provided them with some categories, with Ray suggesting best overall player and best young player among his options.
He was advised on the afternoon of the Presentation event that CVS had selected the best young player category.
After the winning teams had received their trophies and cash awards, Ray announced to the audience that the winner of the £50 prize was 18 years old Aaron Ayres, who probably fits in with both Ray’s main options.
Aaron comes from a family of avid darts enthusiasts with his mother, father and two elder brothers all being involved in the sport.
Aaron has represented Cheshire and Shropshire youth teams and is highly rated by his teammates at the West End Band LMR B team.
