PHIL Parkinson has already been busy strengthening his Nantwich Town squad for next season.

The Dabbers boss secured the services of Leek Town skipper Sam Hall, young Newcastle Town winger Josh Gordon and Jon Moran, who was on loan at the Weaver Stadium from Crewe Alexandra last season.

“Sam will bring quality, experience, leadership and goals," said Parkinson.

“He has an uncanny knack of scoring important goals and we are extremely pleased to have him at the club as he represents everything we are trying to do here – bringing the best local talent in south Cheshire and north Staffordshire to the Weaver Stadium."

Moran reportedly turned down Scottish top flight side Dundee United and Conference Premier outfit Wrexham to return to the Dabbers.

“Obviously I had couple options so my head has been scrambled for a while," explained the defender.

“The club was fantastic to me when I was on loan last season.

“The fans were different class and I want to repay them. I want to be bring back success to them.”

Parkinson added: “Unsurprisingly, he had interest from a number of major clubs including Wrexham and Dundee Utd, as well as a full scholarship in America.

"The fact that he has chosen to join us is great testimony to the way we are trying to do things and he and his family know that we will be doing all that we can to help him continue his development.

"Hopefully he will go on to one day realise his dream of rejoining a Football League club."
