PACEMAKERS West End LMR B maintained their large points advantage in Crewe Oddies Club Open League Darts Premier Division this week.

West End won all six singles games against visitors Eight Farmers, who took both the pairs.

Second placed Pioneers Club A reminded the leaders that they are still an active threat by walloping hosts Vine A 7-1, Graham Arrowsmith staving off the whitewash.

Cosey Club move ahead of the Farmers into third place after a 5-3 defeat of lowly Kings Arms A, and they have a match in hand.

Top arrows came from Tony Richardson (Pioneers A) with a 15 dart leg that included a 180.

Chris Townsend (LMR B) blasted two 16 darters and a pair of 180’s, with teammates Aaron Ayres firing a single 16 dart leg and Patrick Lynskey a 132 checkout to an 18 darter.

Aaron Taylor (Kings A) hit a 106 checkout and team mate Andy Pitt another brace of 180’s, with single maximum hits recorded by Bobby Baynham (Cosey), Andy Poynton (Pioneers A) and Graham Arrowsmith (Vine A).

Division 1 Darts leaders Horse Shoe really put on the style by whitewashing visitors White Lion, spearheaded by Steve Hughes who bombed a brace of 19 darters and a ton checkout.

Second placed Hop Pole A scrambled a draw at the Imp, with Frazer Hill firing 13 and 19 dart legs and a 180, although the Imp’s Ken Greenall also earns a mention by blasting 17 and 19 darters and a 180.

Siblings were in the spotlight with brothers Dene and Craig Smith hitting respective 18 and 19 dart legs, Dene also on the mark with a 180, as third placed Cheshire Cheese were involved with the inevitable stalemate at fellow draw specialists Amalgamated A.

Another set of brothers Daz and Dan Downey fired respective 18 and 19 darters in Pioneer’s 6-2 defeat of Nantwich Road A.

Stuart Gilligan (Broughton) hit an 18 dart leg and Steve Faddes (Amalgamated A) a 106 finish.

Division 2 Darts top four teams clashed.

Pacemakers Willaston Club again top scored, their 7-1 win at Bridge A taking them nine points clear, with the Bridge demoted to fifth and they have Phil Jones to thank for preventing complete humiliation.

Second and third placed Amalgamated B and Sydney Arms remain separated by two points after drawing. Adam Perkiss (Sydney) won with 18 and 21 darters and Lee Moffat (Willaston hit an 18 dart leg.

Division 3 Darts runaway leaders Brunel Arms B are now a not so unlucky thirteen points clear after walloping Rising Sun B 7-1, top marksmen being Ben Davies with a 152 finish to a 15 darter and Lyndon Cartwright who won in 18 and 19 darts and also recorded a maximum 180.

Cheshire Cheese won 5-3 at Swan & Chequers to claim second place on matches won from Kings Arms B, held to a draw by Coppenhall Club, and it could have been worse as Coppenhall let slip a 3-1 advantage.

Swan remain fourth but are seven points off the pace. Tom Knibbs (Cheese) hit a 20 dart leg, Steve Tomkinson (Nag B) a 116 checkout and Pat Brennan (Swan) a 180.

Division 4 Darts has Brunel Arms C retaking the lead after their 6-2 defeat of Duke of Bridgewater C, who did no help the cause of their B team who are a point behind in second after a surprise 5-3 defeat by visitors British Lion.

Dishers B beat Coach & Horses 6-2 to move ahead of Nags Head A, who overturned a 3-1 deficit to win 5-3 at Dishers A, on matches won, but both are way off the pace.

Division 4 Dominoes top two Dishers B and Coach & Horses met, Dishers 6-2 victory taking them three points clear and losers Coach dropping back to third behind Brunel Arms C, who beat Duke of Bridgewater C 5-3.
