Cosey Club are a point further back in third after a surprise first defeat, 5-3 by bottom placed visitors Oddies.

Eight Farmers have Clive Lucking to thank for staving off a whitewash at Vine A and Nantwich Road ASLEF let a 3-1 lead slip away in their draw at Brunel Arms A.

Division One's leading trio of Nantwich Road A, White Lion and Horse Shoe were no doubt all very relieved after they discover they were all on the wrong end of 6-2 defeats by Amalgamated A, Broughton Arms and Cheshire Cheese, with the ‘Mals now third, two points adrift of the Lion and one ahead of the Shoe.

A very close section sees the top seven teams covered by seven points.

Division Two leading trio all won with top pair Woodside and Hawk hitting respective opponents Bridge A and Captain Webb for six Willaston Club falling three points off the pace after a 5-3 win at bottom placed Sydney Arms.

Bridge C also hit six at Rising Sun A to establish bragging rights over their A team, now two points behind them.

Division Three has leaders White Lion retaining their seven points buffer with a 5-3 defeat of Brunel Arms B, with most of their challengers seemingly still hell bent on spoiling each others chances.

Vine B regain second spot with a 6-2 win at Swan & Chequers, demoted from second to fourth and Nags Head B back to third spot after beating Coppenhall Club 5-3.

Division Four's leading trio of Dishers Club B, Brunel Arms C and Coach & Horses all gained 6-2 wins at the expense of Duke B, Foresters B and Duke C to leave a status quo, with fourth placed Nags Head falling four points off the pace after drawing at Hop Pole B.
