THE Crewe Oddies Club Open League Premier Division darts top two West End LMR B and Pioneers Club A enhanced their points tallies with 6-2 victories over Nantwich Road ASLEF and Kings Arms A.

An understrength third placed Cosey Club went down 5-3 at Eight Farmers to drop 12 points off the pace, so their match in hand is assuming less importance.

Top marksmen were Cliff Davison (ASLEF) who fired 14 and 17 darters and Andy Poynton (Pioneers A) with 14 and 20 dart legs, both also bombing 180s.

Farmers duo Clive Lucking and Tom Kelly blasted 15 darters, Clive adding a 180 and a ton checkout and Tom a 101 finish.

Steve O’Neil (Brunel A) and Pete Boughey (Pioneers A) also threw 15 dart legs and Tim Simpson (Cosey) a 16 darter. Vine A pair Graham Arrowsmith and Ken Cliffe chucked 18 darters Carl Dennel (LMR B) a 19 darter that included a 180, while Dave Coyne and Brendon Carberry gave the Oddies a good start by hitting respective 130 and 109 finishes.

Maximum 180s were also hit by Stewart Bennett (Farmers), Mark Jodrill (Cosey), Patrick Lynskey (LMR B), Barry Cooper (Holly Bush) and Reg Corbett (Oddies).

Division One toppers Horse Shoe won 6-2 at Flying Lady A to go eight points clear of Hop Pole A, whose 5-3 de4feat of White Lion maintains their six-point advantage over the Imp, who beat Pioneers B 5-3.

Bottom-placed Nantwich Road A were beaten 7-1 at fourth-placed Cheshire Cheese, Rob Challinor’s win saving complete humiliation.

The Imp’s Ken Greenall was the star performer with 17 and 19 darters, a 112 finish and a 180. Craig Jepson (Cheese) hit a 17 darter and 180’s were fired by Nick Rathbone (Shoe), Matty Hamilton (‘Mals A) and Buster Edwards (Imp).

Division Two pacemakers Willaston Club hammered Bridge C 7-1, Tommy Clarke staving off the whitewash, which was not the case with second placed Amalgamated B who won all eight games against struggling bottom placed hosts Captain Webb.

Third-placed Sydney Arms won 5-3 at Bridge A, but are now four points behind the ‘Mals, who have an imminent and important match in hand.

Simon Felton (Nantwich Road B) hit a 137 finish and a 180, Amalgamated B pair Paul Jones and Rob Williams fired respective 116 and 113 checkouts and more maximums were hit by Craig Morrey (Sun A), Reggie Cooper (Webb) and Rob Paine (Sydney Arms) who bagged a brace.

Division Three's top trio Brunel Arms B, Kings Arms B and Cheshire Cheese all won 5-3 against respective visitors Swan & Chequers, Nags Head B and Flying Lady B to leave a status quo, with fourth placed Swan dropping seven points off the pace.

Ben Davies (Brunel B) fired a 17 darter and teammate John Speed, James Scott (Swan) and Trevor Owens (Vine B) maximum 180’s.

The Division Four top four clashed, the battle of the top two going the way of second-placed Brunel Arms C with a 5-3 victory at leaders Duke of Bridgewater B, which cut the points difference to just one.

Third placed Nags Head A walloped Dishers Club B 6-2 but remain way off the pace, with Duke of Bridgewater C now up to fourth after beating a depleted Foresters Arms B 6-2. Tom Billington (Brunel C) won with a 126 checkout.

In Premier Division Dominoes, leading pair West End LMR B and Kings Arms A remain one point apart after 5-3 wins at Nantwich Road ASLEF and Pioneers Club A.

A depleted third placed Cosey Club drop four points off the pace after a 6-2 defeat at Eight Farmers, but their imminent match in hand should change that.

Second to seventh placings are covered by seven points.

Division One is another close section has six points covering second to tenth places.

Leaders Nantwich Road A were held to a draw at Cheshire Cheese, but have increased their lead to three points over new challengers Horse Shoe, 5-3 winners at Flying Lady A. White Lion Ford Lane are demoted to third after a 7-1 annihilation at Hop Pole A, Alicia Gardner’s win preventing a whitewash.

Pole A move level on points with the Lion, but are fourth on the matches won parameter. Bottom placed Imp let slip 3-0 lead in their draw with visitors Pioneers Club B.

Division Two's top four met with leaders Woodside now six points clear after beating second placed Hawk 5-3.

Third placed Willaston Club stay three points behind the Hawk after losing 5-3 to fourth placed Bridge C, now just three points behind Willaston.

Division Three pacemakers White Lion suffered a surprise 5-3 defeat at Rising Sun B, but stay seven points clear as main challengers Vine B also lost 5-3 at Coppenhall Club.

Swan & Chequers won 6-2 at Brunel Arms B to move to third spot, level on points with the Vine but with one less match win.

Nags Head B scrambled a draw at Kings Arms B to drop a place to fourth, with the Kings still four points back. Bottom placed Flying Lady B overcame a 3-0 deficit to draw at Cheshire Cheese.

Division Four toppers Dishers Club B let slip a 3-1 advantage in their draw at Nags Head A, so Brunel Arms C reduced their point’s deficit to two with a 5-3 win over Duke of Bridgewater B.

Third placed Coach & Horses fall five points off the pace after a disastrous 6-2 loss at British Lion.
