FAIRERPOWER, the energy scheme launched by Cheshire East Council in March, has secured a sponsorship deal with Nantwich Town FC.
The deal sees Fairerpower become shirt sponsors for the Dabbers in a two-year deal.
Fairerpower will sponsor match balls, have a page within the programme and have signage around the ground and 3G pitch.
Nantwich finished 15th in the Evostik League last season and recently beat fellow Cheshire East side, Macclesfield Town FC in a pre-season game.
Councillor Dave Brown, deputy leader of Cheshire East Council and board member of Fairerpower, said: “We are excited to be shirt sponsors for Nantwich Town FC this season and looking forward to being partners in their success.
“Nantwich have a strong and loyal following in the community and that’s what we are seeking to achieve with Fairerpower, which aims to give residents access to cheaper, fairer energy.”
Jon Gold, director of football operations at Nantwich Town FC added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Fairerpower in such a great initiative and scheme that will help our supporters, their friends, families and the wider community save money on their energy expenses and we look forward to developing this partnership further over the coming seasons."
