PREMIER Division Darts top trio West End LMR B, Pioneers Club A and Cosey Club disposed of visitors Holly Bush, Eight Farmers and Nantwich Road ASLEF with 6-2 scorelines, but all were outscored by the Oddies, who whitewashed bottom placed hosts Kings Arms A.

Division One top five met the bottom five, with only an understrength Hop Pole A missing out, beaten 6-2 by visitors Flying Lady A.

Toppers Horse Shoe made the best of Pole A’s slip up by whitewashing visitors Amalgamated A, taking them 14 points clear of new second placed team Imp, who were also on the whitewash trail at bottom placed Nantwich Road A, and now head Pole A on matches won.

Imp pair Ken Greenall and Ben Snape included 180’s in respective 16 and 18 dart legs, with Bertie Edwards providing good back up with a ton checkout.

Steve Hughes (Shoe) and Stuart Gilligan (Broughton) hit 19 darters and Dan Smith (Broughton) a 180.

Division Two leaders Willaston Club beat lowly Woodside 6-2, but their points advantage over main rivals Amalgamated B, who drew with Bridge A, remains at six due to them incurring a two points rule infringement penalty.

Third placed Sydney Arms let slip a 3-1 lead in their 5-3 defeat at Rising Sun A, and are still way off the pace. Jamie Clorley (Willaston) hit an 18 dart leg and a 180, Jason Pointon (Bridge A) and Tommy Clarke (Bridge C) blasted 19 darters, Tommy including a 171 high score in his.

Rob Mason (Amals B) hit a 102 finish, well exceeded by Hawk’s Colin Cook who threw a 157 kill, while Paul Blythe (Willaston) registered a maximum 180.

Division Three runaway leaders Brunel Arms B showed no mercy to bottom placed hosts Flying Lady B by delivering a decisive whitewash to move 20 points clear, needing four more from three matches to be Champions.

John Knibbs won in 18 and 20 darts and his son Tom fired an 18 darter for Cheshire Cheese in their 5-3 win at Coppenhall Club, demoting Kings Arms B to third on matches won after they surprisingly went down 5-3 at next bottom White Lion.

Five points further back are the only other trophy place contenders Swan & Chequers who walloped Nags Head B 7-1 to stay fourth, with Nag skipper Shaun Young staving off complete humiliation.

Steve Wilson (Kings B) ended his 18 darter with a 108 finish, Bob Shephard (Vine B) and Adam Parkinson (Swan) hit respective 105 and 117 checkouts and Phil Massy (Kings B) hit a maximum 180.

In Division Four's Duke of Bridgewater B lashed visitors Hop Pole B 8-0 to move to the top by one point from deposed leaders Brunel Arms C, who overcame a 3-1 deficit to win 5-3 at Coach & Horses, but have played one match more.

Third placed Nags Head A beat British Lion 6-2, but as they are ten points off the pace further improvement is essential. Gaz Hall (Duke B) won with a 96 checkout and teammate Ryan Procter hit a 180.

The dominoes sections remain very competitive with regular weekly positional changes.

Premier Division Dominoes toppers West End LMR B beat Holly Bush 6-2 to move two points clear of Kings Arms A, who edged the Oddies 5-3 with a late three game winning burst.

Third placed Cosey Club edged closer to the Kings after walloping Nantwich Road ASLEF 7-1, for whom Steve Ives prevented whitewash.

Division One leaders Nantwich Road A scrambled a 5-3 victory over the Imp, but move four points clear of main rivals Horse Shoe who recovered from 3-0 down to draw with Amalgamated A.

Third placed Hop Pole A also drew with Flying Lady A, but leapfrog White Lion into third after the Lion were lost 5-3 to visitors Cheshire Cheese. Seven points cover all but the leaders.

Division Two's top four teams were involved in the sections three all square matches. Leaders Woodside drew with Willaston Club, the latter demoted a place to fourth on matches won and are now level points with Amalgamated B, who drew with Bridge A.

Fourth placed Hawk hold onto second spot after Nantwich Road B won both pairs games to snatch a draw.

Division Three leaders White Lion have seen their seven point’s advantage held for the past four weeks trimmed to four after a 6-2 home defeat to Kings Arms B, coupled to a Nags Head B 6-2 win at fourth placed Swan & Chequers.

Vine B drop a place to third after letting slip a 3-1 lead to visitors Rising Sun B who ran out 5-3 victors.

Flying Lady B’s sole winner of the night Graham Minshull prevented his team suffering an unenviable and unwanted double whitewash.

Division Four pacemakers Dishers Club B beat Duke of Bridgewater C 5-3 to move two points clear of Brunel Arms C, who drew at third placed Coach & Horses.

The latter are eight points behind, but as the top two sit out next weeks planned clash that was played two weeks ago, a good result for the Coach at Hop Pole B next match is absolutely essential.

This could be difficult after Hop Pole B’s recovery from 3-0 down to win 5-3 at Duke of Bridgewater B shows their capabilities.
