AFTER round three of the Crewe Oddies Open League Winter Team Knockout, Premiership teams will dominate the quarter finals with five sides winning through.

They are joined by two from Division Two and one from Division Three.

Broughton got off to a good start against last seasons winners Pioneers A with Stuart Gilligan and Campell Eaton winning the opening two darts games and Amanda Smith and Martin Blakeman the first dominoes games, but the Pies soon took control with victories in the next five dart games and four of the singles dominoes to give them a 9-5 aggregate passage into the quarter-finals.

It was a close encounter for the premierships Eight Farmers A who took the darts 5-2 despite the Mals Ron Threadgold hitting a 180.

But hosts Amalgamated A fought back winning five singles dominoes games leaving the tie to be decided on the dominoes pairs games eventually won by the Farmers pairings of Pip Taylor/Nathan Done and Keith Vickers/Clive Lucking to give them an 8-7 aggregate victory.

In the all-premier clash between Westend Lmr B and visitors Vine A the Westend’s Dave Bickerton 17 darts and Aaron Ayres 19 darts were the stars as they trounced Vine 6-0 coupled with dominoes victories by Andy Madeley, Kev Tilly and Lorraine Ayres giving them a 9-3 aggregate success.

It was a better night for the Vine B side as they beat visitors Duke of Bridgewater C 4-3 at darts and 4-2 at dominoes for a 8-5 aggregate passage into the next round.

The other premier teams had easy victories as Cosey Club had a 9-4 win at Nags Head A while Horseshoe thrashed Brunel C 9-1.

Hawk took the darts 6-1 with Tracey Heeps being Nantwich Rd A’s only winner as Mark France,Rob Sandlands and Irene Billington were successful dominoes winners as Hawk strolled to a comfortable 9-3 victory.

Kings Arms B won the darts 5-0 against hosts Bridge C and as the dominoes singles were shared they ran out easy 8-3 winners.
