Third placed Vine A drop six points off the pace after losing 5-3 at Horse Shoe, who are one of seven teams covered by five points chasing the top two, making the next match clash of the top two critical to most of the section.

Division 1 Dominoes top two Nantwich Road A and Amalgamated A met, the resultant draw leaving them still separated by a single point.

Third placed Broughton Arms were always on the back foot in their 5-3 defeat by Brunel Arms A and are now three points back and heading five teams covered by as many points.

Division 2 Dominoes is also very competitive with four points embracing the top four teams.

Leaders Rising Sun A lost 5-3 at fourth placed Hawk, with main challengers Flying Lady A halving their points deficit to two with a 5-3 victory over next to bottom Sydney Arms.

Division 3 Dominoes returned three drawn matches that included top two Coppenhall Club and Duke of Bridgewater B against bottom pair Brunel Arms C and Swan & Chequers.

The leading duo both have bye weeks to come, so third placed White Lion, who lost 5-3 at fifth placed Vine B, plus three other teams are in a five team chasing group covered by six points, all with three matches left.

Division 4 Dominoes pacemakers Nags Head A won 5-3 at Dishers Club A, who drop two places to fourth.

Dishers Club B caught up on fixtures, so a brace of 6-2 wins lifts them to second, but eight points off the pace, with the imminent clash of the top two critical to both teams.
