NANTWICH Town will be looking to quickly put one cup defeat out of their mind as they prepare for the big one on Saturday.

The Dabbers host FC Halifax Town in the FA Trophy semi-final this Saturday, but go into the club's most important game in years on the back of a home 4-3 defeat to Colwyn Bay in the Integro Doodson Sports Cup quarter finals on Tuesday.

The Seagulls only clinched the tie in the 90th minute, while the Dabbers had led 2-0 with goals from Jordan Bennion and Sean Cooke.

Soon after half time, though, Bay were 3-2 ahead and Gordon squared things up with 26 minutes left to play.

In the three added minutes Nantwich looked for a way to make it 4-4 and in the final act of the game Cosgrove tried an overhead kick which went just over the bar and out of play.

Nantwich rotated the squad with White, Shotton and Short among those being rested with Saturday’s game in mind.

Bennion and Bourne started the match with Jake Davies, James Parkinson, Harry MacLennan and Sam Steele all on the bench.

Nantwich Town: Smith, Bourne, Moran, Harrison, Bailey, Bell, Bennion, Hall (c), Gordon, Hancock, Cooke. Subs: Davies, Cosgrove  (On for Hall), Parkinson (on for Hancock), MacLennan and Steele (on for Bell)
