NANTWICH Town received just the midweek tonic they needed ahead of Saturday’s second leg of the FA Trophy at Halifax.

The Dabbers have it all to do in overhauling a two-goal deficit after falling to a 4-2 home-leg defeat in front of the highest attendance at the Weaver Stadium.

Town trailed 4-1 but pulled one back in the last 13 minutes to keep Wembley dreams flickering.

After that loss they bounced back in midweek with a 4-1 win at Ramsbottom United.

Goals from Mat Bailey, Elliot Osborne, Steve Jones and Josh Gordon gave the Dabbers the spoils in the Evo–Stik Premier.

That should give them a bit of confidence going into Saturday’s clash in west Yorkshire following the first leg.

Nantwich Town’s Matty Kosylo believes the Dabbers can turn the tie around at The Shay this Saturday, kick off 3pm.

He and Sean Cooke scored the goals in the 2-4 defeat.

Kosylo said the belief in the changing rooms is vital to Nantwich winning.

He added: “We can get back into the tie and the gaffer said in the changing room after Saturday’s game that if anyone in there is doubting our chances then he doesn’t want us in the squad.

"That is the upbeat attitude of this team and if we go there doubting ourselves then we might as well not turn up at all. So we all believe and we are capable of it. I really do believe we have got a chance at their place.

“We have done well all season and that is down to belief, ability and good team ethic. You saw how many goals we have scored and if you are around the club you can sense the atmosphere and the togetherness, which we have lots of, and that is how we have built our foundation this season and that comes from the gaffer.”

It’s been over a year since Kosylo joined Nantwich and it’s a totally different place according to the attacking player.

“You have only got to look at last season and it was a totally different place," he said.

"We were around the relegation zone and battling it out to stay up.

"But now to be in the FA Trophy semi-finals and going for the play-offs, it’s credit to the gaffer, and to Sorves, Griggsy, as well as the squad.

"Parky has brought in some great players and we have gelled really well and I’m looking forward to the rest of the season as well.”

Fans can travel to the game on one of the official Nantwich Town FC supporters' coaches by booking your seat for £10 by visiting Michelle in the club shop.

If you are travelling to The Shay by car then the postcode you need for your SatNav is HX1 2YT.

The Dabbers faithful will be housed in the Skircoat Stand with admission prices being £15 for adults, £12 concessions and £5 for under 16s.

Should the tie be level on aggregate after 90 minutes then extra time and possibly penalties will be required to determine who goes to Wembley.
