NANTWICH Town's Wembley dreams are over.

They drew 2-2 with FC Halifax Town at The Shay in the second leg of the FA Trophy semi final meaning they lost 6-4 on aggregate.

The Shaymen took the lead after just 4 minutes when Jordan Burrows turned home after a cross found him in the penalty area.

Nantwich levelled on nine minutes when Sean Cooke played in Liam Shotton who slotted home to make it 1-1 on the day.

The Dabbers had taken the lead on the 30 minute mark when a Sean Cooke corner was headed home by Mat Bailey.

Nantwich were looking for the tie equaliser despite injuries to Mat Bailey, Sam Hall and Liam Shotton. But in the 89th minute a Nicky Wroe cross was turned into his own goal by Andy White.

Despite the five minutes of injury time Nantwich couldn't find the two goals they needed to turn the tie around again.

Town are back in league action on Tuesday night when they entertain Darlington 1883.
