STRUGGLING Nantwich suffered a 68-run defeat at Timperley in the Cheshire County Cricket League’s top flight on Saturday.
The home team hit 224-8 after the Dabbers invited them to bat, with a half-century for Ed Galley (78) a highlight.
He added 129 runs for the fourth wicket with Craig Grindley (47), while Ray Doyle (3-25), Louis Cameron (2-50) and Oliver Griffiths (2-45) shared the wickets.
Nantwich succumbed for 156 in reply, with Doyle (56) again the pick of their performers.
Wicket-keeper Ryan Brown contributed 25.
The Dabbers’ seconds fared better, beating their Cheadle Hulme counterparts by eight wickets.
Ben Mogg (5-20) led the way as they dismissed the visitors to Whitehouse Lane for 108, before Robert Howell (52no) carried his bat in a winning reply.
