WILLIAM Weir from Nantwich stepped off the bench to help Team GB men’s hockey team to a 2-2 draw with New Zealand in the Rio Olympics.
The team lost 4-1 to Belgium the previous day but earned a point on Sunday thanks to goals from David Condon and captain Barry Middleton, and will next face hosts Brazil on Tuesday.
