ONLY one unblemished record survived after week six in the Crewe Oddies Club Open League.

It is held by current Premier Division Darts Champions West End LMR B, who were 6-2 winners at fourth placed Pioneers Club A.

Cosey Club remain second after demolishing promoted hosts Amalgamated B 7-1, Steve Mellor preventing the whitewash, to move level with LMR B on points but with one less win.

Willaston Club also lost their 100% record when visitors Eight Farmers A triumphed 5-3 helped by a seasons best 11 dart leg plus a trio of 180’s bombed by Tony Richardson.

Other top marksmen were Chris Gibson (LMR B) with a 14 darter, well supported by Danny Ayres who won in 15 and 17 darts and also fired a 112 finish, a Chris Townsend 17 darter and a last game 32 dart pairs win by Patrick Lynskey and Chris Gibson at 31.28 PDA.

Mark Tirrell responded for the Pi’s with 17 and 18 darters and a 180.

Vine A crushed hosts Nantwich Road ASLEF 7-1 with Robbie Arrowsmith hitting 15 and 16 dart legs and a brace of maximums, backed up by 180’s from Mick Hassall and Steve Tizard, the latter in an 18 dart leg.

ASLEF’s Pete Sill also hit a 180 and sole winner Paul Ralphs a whitewash saving 20 darter. Stewart Bennett (Farmers A) included a 180 in his 17 dart leg and was also the recipient of good back-up from John Speed and Ben Davies with 100 and 106 checkouts and Tom Kelly with a 180.

Rob Paine (Willaston) won in 18 and 19 darts, Nick Rathbone (Horse Shoe) ended his 18 darter with a ton finish, Ross Gilder Jnr (Cosey) hit a 20 darter and Lee Moffat (Willaston) and Simon Phillips (Shoe) added to the 180 brigade.

Division 1 Darts has little change as teams gained 3, 4 or 5 points, and is the draw specialists section.

Pacemakers Broughton Arms move four points clear after winning 5-3 at Cheshire Cheese and Hop Pole A’s 5-3 defeat of Amalgamated A moves them ahead of Rising Sun B on matches won, after the Sun’s draw with Pioneers Club B.

Andy Pitt (Sun B) included a 180 in his 14 dart leg, Ryan Pointon (Bridge A) fired a 17 darter and Paul Byrne (Express) a 20 darter, Mark Woolrich (‘Mals A) going one better by winning with a brace of 20 darters.

Barry Cooper (Cheese) and Adam Downey (Pioneers B) bombed 180’s, the latter’s elder sibling Dan high scoring with a 177.

Division 2 Darts toppers Raven won 6-2 at fourth placed Coppenhall Club with a much improved Bridge C now five points back after annihilating hosts Brunel Arms B 7-1, Ryan Gaffney staving off the whitewash.

Third placed Flying Lady A fall five points off the pace after losing 5-3 to visitors Woodside.

Kevin Thackwell (Bridge C) blasted a 16 dart, while Steve Dooley (Raven) and Jye Kavanagh (Nag A) hit respective 18 and 20 dart legs.

Division 3 Darts toppers Duke of Bridgewater B were held to a draw by visitors Sydney Arms, with Alberts Corner now only three points adrift after beating promoted visitors Captain Webb 5-3. Swan & Chequers drop two points behind after a late rally saw visitors Flying Lady B triumph 5-3.

Brunel C’s Clive Beech staved off a whitewash in their 7-1 thrashing at near neighbours West End Band A.

Division 4 Darts remains very close with four points covering the top six teams.

Pacemakers Coach & Horses were beaten 5-3 by visitors Duke of Bridgewater C and now lead on matches won from Nags Head B, who drew at Dishers Club A, with Duke C and Eight Farmers B, who beat Hop Pole B, one point behind.

Nathan Schofield (Duke C) bombed a 19 dart leg and Mal Ollier (Nag B) hit a 171 high score in a draw clinching pairs win with Mike Wade.

Premier Division Dominoes leaders West End LMR B completed a double win at Pioneers Club A, a 5-3 scoreline giving them a four points advantage over new challengers Willaston Club, up from fifth after walloping Eight Farmer A 7-1, the Farmers demoted three places to sixth.

Division 1 Dominoes pacemakers Amalgamated A let slip a 4-1 advantage in their draw at Hop Pole A, but with main challengers Cheshire Cheese also drawing with Broughton Arms, they retain their single point lead.

Bridge A’s 5-3 defeat of White Lion Ford Lane lifts them up a place to third.

Division 2 Dominoes is the most competitive section with four points covering the top eight teams. Raven take over top spot after their 6-2 win at Coppenhall Club, who drop from second to seventh.

Deposed leaders Hawk were beaten by Dishers Club B, who consequently move up to third.

Division 3 Dominoes was another 3, 4 and 5 points section with Sydney Arms taking over top spot after beating Duke of Bridgewater B 5-3 and Brunel Arms C and Alberts Corner demoted to second and third after drawing with West End Band A and Captain Webb, with Duke B now mid table. Eight points cover all ten teams.

Division 4 Dominoes sees Dishers A moving to the top by two points after walloping Nags Head B 6-2.

Hop Pole B’s 5-3 win at Eight Farmers B lifts them to second, with Duke of Bridgewater C third after their 5-3 win at Coach & Horses.

Deposed leaders Junction drop to fourth after their bye week.
