CREWE’S Jamie Harrison narrowly missed out on a podium finish in both of his races at Oulton Park over the weekend.
In his first Powerbikes class race in the Wirral 100 event, Harrison slipped back to fourth having qualified in third spot and that was where he finished.
He started from fourth in the second race, but a nightmare start saw him drop back to eighth on the first lap.
However, he fought his way back to finish fourth once again.
Elsewhere at the same meeting, John Jones was consistent in the Classic Bikes class, finishing 15th and 18th respectively in his two races.
Nantwich’s Kieran Brockie was less fortunate in the Formula 600 class, retiring on the opening lap of his first race before finishing 27th in his second.
Scott Wakefield and Leslie Mason were the other Crewe and Nantwich riders in action.
