WEST End LMR B and Coppenhall B, the top two sides in the Crewe Oddies Club Open League darts Premier Division, coasted to comfortable wins at the expense of the promoted bottom pair of Broughton Arms and Cheshire Cheese.

LMR B lead by three points, with the gap to new third-placed challengers Cosey Club, 7-1 winners at Eight Farmers A, now five points.

Division One’s top two, Express and Raven, gained 5-3 victories over Bridges A and C to leave a status quo, with third-placed Kings Arms dropping back slightly after drawing at fourth-placed Hop Pole A.

Division Two leaders Swan & Chequers lost their second match running 5-3, this week to visitors Flying Lady A, who move up to second two points behind them and with a match in hand, with Hawk’s bye week demoting them to fourth.

Division Three leaders West End Band A were soundly beaten 6-2 by a revitalised Duke of Bridgewater C and their lead over Alberts Corner and Vine B has trimmed to a single point after the pairs clash ended in stalemate.

Runaway Division Four pacemakers Foresters Arms A retained the league’s sole 100 per centwin record by walloping visitors Hop Pole B 6-2 to move 10 points clear of Junction, who had a bye week, and Eight Farmers B, who also hit six at Dishers Club A.

In the dominoes Premier Division, leaders Oddies Club won 5-3 at Amalgamated B to move six points clear of new challengers Eight Farmers A, who avenged their darts loss by hitting Cosey for six.

LMR B drop to third on matches won after being held to a draw by bottom-placed Broughton Arms.

Division One leaders Bridge A beat Express 5-3 to move nine points clear of Kings Arms, who drew at Hop Pole A. Pioneers Club did well to overturn a 4-0 deficit to draw at Horse Shoe.

All the games in Division Two matches ended 4-4, to the obvious displeasure of Flying Lady A, Woodside and White Lion who all let slip good leading positions, so no change at the top with Nags Head A heading Coppenhall A on the matches won parameter.

Division Three top scorers Sydney Arms regained top spot with a 6-2 win at Brunel Arms B, with White Lion now a point behind after drawing with Brunel Arms C. Bottom pair Duke of Bridgewater C and West End Band A contested a challenging match with Band A forfeiting a 3-0 lead, with the Duke staging a good recovery to win 5-3.

Positions were all unchanged in Division Four after all matches were drawn, although top two Dishers Club A and Coach & Horses would not be overjoyed at letting slip 3-1 advantages.
