CREWE Alexandra continue to slip down the League Two table after two defeats this week.
Their 3-2 loss at Wycombe on Tuesday dropped them to 18th in the table as they fell to a fourth defeat in a row.
Chris Dagnall’s doubled had given Dave Artell’s side a 2-1 lead at Adams Park after Craig Mackail-Smith had put the hosts ahead, but goals in injury time from Michael Harriman and Nathan Tyson completed a dramatic turnaround.
Three days earlier, The Alex suffered a humiliating 5-0 home defeat to Carlisle United.
Danny Grainger’s double, a Michael Raynes own goal plus late strikes from Reggie Lambe and Hallam Hope completed a chastening afternoon for Artell’s men.
Crewe’s misery was compounded when it was discovered that midfielder Ryan Wintle suffered a stress fracture of his tibia during the game and faces several months on the sidelines.
The Alex travel to Coventry City on Saturday.
