THE semi finals of the Crewe Liberal Club Open League Winter Team Knockout went according to form.

Both the Premiership Westend Band teams reached the final with ease.

Westend LMR B comfortably disposed of first division Nantwich Rd Aslef and completed the job thanks to Clive Lucking and George Goodwin winning two of the six dominoes singles games to secure a 9-4 aggregate victory.

Division Five team Rising Sun’s giant-killing run came to an end as Westend Band C took the darts 6-1, with Mike Prestwich the Sun’s only winner.

They did slightly better at dominoes with Steve Wilson and Dave Kynnersley winning the first two games but this was to no avail as dominoes captain Jeff Beech and then darts captain Steve Hassall won the next two dominoes games to seal an 8-3 aggregate win.

Due to four new teams joining the league for the summer season it has been necessary to hold a preliminary round of the Summer Team Knockout.
