CHAMPIONS Nantwich play host to Marple in the ECB Premier League on Saturday.
The Dabbers had the better of a home draw against Alderley Edge at the weekend, gaining 13 points to nine.
They posted 199 for 9, with Chris Simpson chipping in with 73 and Sam Hunt adding 43.
Mark Warnes bowled well for Alderley to return 5 for 50 and Jason Whittaker 3 for 67.
Alderley reached 142 for 8 in reply in a match that was restricted to 80 overs.
Meanwhile, A strong Lancashire team including former England Test bowler Sajid Mahmood and Nantwich’s Louis Bentley, beat Derbyshire by five wickets in a second XI pre-season friendly at Middlewich.
Lancashire successfully hunted down Derbyshire’s 164, with Bentley’s 35 the second highest score behind Andrea Agathangelou’s 55.
* Meanwhile Sandbach cricket team will be playing host to Heaton Mersey in the second round of the Cheshire Cup from 1.30pm on Sunday.
