CREWE Open League’s Premier Division leaders Pioneers A lost their 100 per cent record after being held to a draw by Cosey Club.
That leaves Division Two’s Horseshoe and Division Three’s White Lion F/ Lane B as the league’s only remaining teams with 100 percent records.
Pioneers’ visitors Cosey Club held a 4-2 advantage thanks to star man Ben Davies hitting a brace of 18-dart legs with 111 and 116 checkouts and Carl Dennell’s 160 finish.
Tony Richardson responded for the Pies with a maximum as the Pies held on for a draw by winning the two pairs games.
Pioneers A, despite losing their win record, remain at the top with a six-point lead over closest challengers Westend LMR B, who emerged with a 5-3 victory helped by Chris Townsend’s 16 and19-dart legs and a brace of 180s.
Dave Bickerton hit a 137 finish tp secure victory over Westend Band C, whose top darts came from Rob Arrowsmith with 16 and 17-dart legs.
Division One leaders Flying Lady A increased their lead to four points thanks to a 6-2 victory over struggling Foresters A, while second-placed Cheshire Cheese were beaten 5-3 by visitors Woodside as third-placed Express B’s 5-3 win at Mals A left them two points behind.
Top arrows came from Tom Knibbs (Express B), with an 18 darter, Craig Smith (Cheshire Cheese) with a 102 checkout, Ron Threadgold (Mals A) and Mick Pointon(Cheshire Cheese), who both hit 180s.
Horseshoe retained their lead and their 100 percent record in Division Two following a 5-3 win against Coppenhall Leighton.
Second-placed Kings Arms A reduced the deficit to four points with a 6-2 defeat of bottom side Bridge A, while third-placed Duke of Bridge Water A are falling of the pace and are now 11 points off the leaders after being held to a draw by White Lion F/ Lane A.
Division Three pace-setters White Lion F/ Lane B held onto their 100 percent record with a 6-2 victory over Pioneers B, meaning they now have a 14-point lead over nearest challengers Waldron A.
Waldron moved into second spot with a 5-3 victory over Vine C, who drop a further point adrift to third.
Pioneers B’s Daniel Downey was in terrific form when hitting a 13 darter including a 180.
Prince of Wales E’s 6-2 victory over Captain Webb B moves them into joint leadership of Division Four along with Prince of Wales C, who have a game in hand while Webb drop from third to fifth.
Kings B, after trouncing Waldron B 7-1, are now third but are still six points behind the leaders.
Dan Tomkinson (Duke of Bridge Water B) hit a two-dart 100 checkout.
In Division Five, second and third-placed Cumberland A and Swan and Chequers change places following the Swan whitewash of hosts Cumberland.
That leaves Swan a point behind leaders Flying Lady C with Cumberland a further three points adrift.
Brunel C take over at the top of Division Six following a 4-4 draw with the Brunel B.
