NANTWICH’S ECB Premier Division match with Widnes was a casualty of the rain, with both teams having to settle for seven points and a draw.

It was a blow for the Dabbers' hopes of retaining their league title, as they currently sit ninth in the table more than 58 points off leaders Oxton.

They travel to 10th-place Urmston on Saturday, 12.30pm start, and only a maximum 25-point win will do if they want to challenge for the league title.

Nantwich then host Malpas in Round Two of the T20 Plate, with the match scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 28 at 6pm.

In the Cheshire Cricket Alliance only Audlem managed to get their Division Two match finished, enduring a draw with Wilmslow Wayfarers when holding out to reach 137 for 8 after Wilmslow had scored 150 for 6.

Kerridge beat Wistaston’s seconds in Division Three, with Wistaston scoring 130 for 7 thanks to G Gallians’ 42 and the hosts scoring 135 for 3.
