THE CREWE and District Football League will split into two divisions ahead of the forthcoming 2012/2013 season, which is scheduled to start Saturday, September 1.
The split means that five new teams, Cuddington Reserves, Crewe FC Reserves, Duddon United, Sandbach United and Wistaston Athletic, have all joined the league, bringing overall membership to 17 teams in total after Crewe-based Bentley withdrew due to lack of players.
The newly constituted First Division will comprise eight teams: Barnton Wanderers, Cuddington, Curshaw, MMU Alsager, Malpas reserves, Rudheath Social Club reserves, Sandbach Town and Winnington Avenue YC.
The Second Division will comprise nine teams: Barnton Reserves, Barnton Wanderers Reserves, Cuddington Reserves, Crewe FC Reserves, Duddon United, Tarporley Vics Reserves, Sandbach United, Winnington Avenue YC Reserves and Wistaston Athletic.
